How It All Began
In May of 2021, I was diagnosed with breast cancer and began a life changing journey. During such a challenging time, I was incredibly grateful for the support from my cancer care team at Maine Medical Center, which moved me to want to give back to those who supported my journey as well as those facing their own experiences with cancer. Drive Fore The Cure combines my love for golf with my passion for improving cancer care for Mainers like myself, and I look forward to seeing the lasting impact the Cupo Fund will make for years to come.
Proceeds from each event go to the Cupo Fund, an endowment established to provide ongoing financial resources for the MaineHealth Cancer Care Network. The Network aims to significantly improve and expand the service and quality of Maine’s comprehensive cancer care as outlined by its strategic plan. This Fund will support the Network’s much-needed investments in Maine’s cancer care delivery, clinical trials, expansion, and its ability to provide the highest level of available treatments for all people seeking care in Maine.
